“Well, I got involved in this fight and in politics 10 years ago, after the mass shooting that happened in Sandy Hook,” said Frost. “And 10 years later, we're still losing 100 people a day due to gun violence. So, there's a lot of work that needs to be done.”

Fernando Salvador is the Founder and Director of t

Fernando Salvador is the Founder and Director of the non-profit STEM The Violence based in London, UK, which he started in 2020 to inspire change at a grass root level. Applying the experience he has gained in working with youth and different communities, he has combined his own passion for STEM to help create a platform which aims to use STEM as a tool to empower youth to veer away from a life of crime.

During the end of 2020, Fernando also took part in a project called ‘Latin American Heritage’ which was created to showcase the contribution of our community to society in the UK through social media.

By 2022, many of the original team had left to pursue other avenues. Fernando took it upon himself to keep the platform going having received an abundance of positive feedback and requests. The platform was rebranded and instead of celebrating our heritage once every year, it became a hub to promote, celebrate and bring awareness to the achievements of the Latin communities across the globe.
